Billionaire Elon Musk is considering a proposal to impose monthly fees on X platform (Twitter previously ), which is considered the biggest change that the famous social media network may witness since his acquisition of it, in a move that angered many users.

Since Musk bought Twitter last October in a deal worth $44 billion, the platform’s advertising activity has declined, as advertisers distanced themselves from it due to its management style and the mass dismissal of employees involved in content supervision.

The billionaire responded to this by adopting a new approach, which is to expand the base of subscriptions in exchange for a financial fee.

A large number of users and advertisers responded negatively to the site’s imposition of new fees on services that were previously free, as well as changes in content moderation and the return of far-right accounts after they were banned.
