Tesla’s market capitalization surpassed its Facebook counterpart for the first time ever, becoming the fifth largest company in the S&P 500 by market cap.

At the end of Thursday’s trading, Tesla’s share rose by 7.9% to $ 816.04, the first time the stock closed above $ 800.
