In the last quarter of next year 2024, the State of Qatar will host the edition of the World Artificial Intelligence Summit for the Middle East and North Africa region.

The Qatari Ministry of Communications and Information Technology stated – today, Monday – that the summit serves as a platform for exchanging experiences between government institutions, major technology companies, startups, investors and developers interested in artificial intelligence innovations.

The summit will also work to attract and build a supportive system for artificial intelligence in the Middle East, in addition to stimulating innovation and providing opportunities to develop the information technology sector in the region.

Hassan Jassim Al-Sayed, Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Committee at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, explained that the summit will be a great platform for exchanging innovative ideas and benefiting from global expertise in the field of artificial intelligence and bringing them to the State of Qatar, with the aim of strengthening the ministry’s efforts to become a regional center for innovation and artificial intelligence.

For her part, Sarah Porter – CEO and founder of InspireMinds, which organizes the World Artificial Intelligence Summit – said that the upcoming event constitutes a prestigious summit that works to facilitate access to artificial intelligence for all by expanding the scope of cooperation, obtaining comprehensive views, and creating a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences across the world.
